*tries to think of new stuff to say* I like this better now that it has a background. Not exciting but it's better than plain white. Without the wings it sort of reminds me Of a zombie, but you can focus more on the detail that you put into the signs on your face and arms. It's a really cool character and it looks like it has a story behind it. It has a lot of character and is very original looking. The more casual looking clothes is an interesting choice and I have no seen it on many supernatural looking creatures. Well done
Okay. I like the way the color all comes together and the detail on the face and arms. The background really does make a difference and the way all the clothes are something you'd wear everyday is not something I see often on this kind of art. The pose makes it interesting too. On the picture, the first thing I look at is the detail on he face and you get an A+ in that. The necklace also adds to it and I like that you have to look hard to see the red on the face makeup. Good job.
Great choice of colours, Tomas The mix of black, red and white always strikes the eyes, making the viewer to pay attention to the details and the whole composition. The cool-looking outfit suits the markings and the face - it looks comfortable, fresh & light- turning the dark and heavy punk(I suspect?) image into a very interesting new look - it's like seeing a demon who transforms into a normal young man
I adore piercings, and you've made a wise decision to not add too many on the face thanks to this we can happily enjoy looking at the markings and the piercings, the composition is not ruined >W< Also, putting the contact lenses was a great touch!
It's superb that you've chose to make tribal markings on the arms, they add power to the overall image, however(taking a very close look at them) I have just a tiny doubt about the outlines, the black outlines are too slim, which makes them look to be meaningless, next time try to make outlines the same colour as the filling, or let them stand out to create depth
Wonderful, wonderful work you did here! I respect your talent very much!
Very nice c: Pattern design is difficult, and even more so to actually put it on your skin haha yours is very impressive. I like that for all the pieces of your clothing/make up, you managed to get them all to be a very similar shade of red.
Over all this is a great piece you have. I like it, the colors match up together and the detail and time you put in this is amazing. I do have a few things though. I see some skin through some of your red and black. If you went back in with a fine detailing brush and redo some of the line work and make the makeup more even it would create a dynamic look and a sharper edge to get you where you want to be. It would make the look pop out a lot. Just wondering if you use water base paint, alcohol based paint, or cream paint. Using alcohol or water base will give you a sharper line then cream based but thats just my opinion. Sorry I do face paint for my Cos-plays if you need any tips on paint I can help.
That's pretty good! I thought they were actual tattoos. Upon closer inspection you can kinda tell that it's paint, especially on the face. Very good though. I bet it was a bitch trying to put all that on yourself. Five hours, you must have a lot of patience and steady hands. I like the color coordination. I like the pose too. It's kinda menacing and fits the attitude and feel of it all. Some parts of the designs on your arms look a little faded or light in spots, I'm not saying it's necessarilly a bad thing. It kinda adds more depth and character when there are different gradations of color and etc. If that makes sense. I'm thinking you should expand the design to your legs too, but not have it be exactly the same though. Maybe more black or something like on your face. Just so there's more of a juxtaposition or variation between your arms and legs. Maybe some spikey rings or something on your thumbs. I don't know. I'm just throwing some things out there. It's good though. Nice work. They look real.
Beautiful work....and dedication. I'm pretty sure I would get frustrated less than halfway through....then again - I work at a haunted house in October. People put makeup on me, and I act. I sit there and do artwork for hours, but give me skin and I'm lost. I like it!
It does look like you put much effort in doing this, so I shall have at it with the critique. I mean, I'm not an art critique and these are just my opinions and suggestions. Please don't hate on me
Anyway, I like the colors; black, white and red are a really good color combination. The combination really makes the red pop out, since black and white are neutral.
The facial designs are cool; I like how you put red accents at the ends of some points. I guess, the lines could be more refined, with a finer brush or something. Also, the eyes (eye contacts, right?) match the design, although I think a red eye color would have worked better, to complement the hair color and to bring some emphasis to the face.
Now, the arm design is very intricate, kudos for the details, but~ I think the color is too solid. Try blending a little bit of black on some sides and edges.
I think it would have looked better, overall, if the pose and facial expression was a bit more expressive, to match the vibrant and intricate design of the arm tattoos (unless this is what you're really going for).
I hope what I wrote made sense and hopefully help you improve. Good luck!

I'm no art critic, but I see you put a lot of tedious work and attention into that. The choice of basic red, black and white as your colors makes this a dramatic piece. The work on the facial images reminds me of flames and tiny demons. The eyes and mouth makeup resembling pointed and broken teeth are definitely creepy! The detail and symmetry of the scroll work on the arms is quite impressive and would've looked awesome on your legs, also. The only thing that may have improved this, IMO, would have been maybe wearing clothing without a print or design so that it didn't detract from your wonderful handiwork. Remarkable work!
